Dear brother Wolfgang,

Thank you for your support. As I have mentioned to many others I am not a very political person. I am at the beck and call of the President.

What is unique about the United States Marines Corps we serve as a 911 force for the country. The President can order us at any time to perform any mission. We must be able to move at a minimum 2000 plus Marines, with tanks, artillery, planes and humanitarian supplies within 48 hours around the globe.

Although not reported much in the news for obvious reasons the Marine Corps has served 4 Humanitarian Missions as high profile as Katrina Hurricane to low profile like the Leyte, Philippines mudslide.

At any given hour or any given day there is a task force one in the Eastern and Western Hemisphere of Marines patrolling the seven seas aboard Amphibious Readiness Groups waiting to respond to whatever mission dictated.

In America the Army, Navy, and Air force cannot be committed to combat unless the Congress votes and approves. This was the case in the start of the Iraq War. Both political parties and independents voted and sent us in.

A huge mistake in my opinion happened between Secretary of Defence the Honourable Donald Rumsfield and the Secretary of State the Honourable Colin Powel. They had two opposite plans for the settlement of Iraq after the war. Rumsfield prevailed - he fired all the officers and soldiers of the Republican Guard and all Baath Party members. This created a huge void in the Civilian economic and social disorder that was filled by numerous Terrorist Groups and exploited for their benefit destabilizing the government and attempting to establish a fundamentalist Islamic State.

Powell wanted to retain - in essence switch flags from old to new - the services of generals, general officers, and the Republican Guard without Saddam Hussein at the top. In essence he wanted to clear out the top 10% of leadership the infamous "Deck of 52" and reduce their responsible organizations and then through the Coalition Provisional Authority establish a new government.

This didn't happen and chaos ensued. I was there as 1000's of Iraqis cheered "Bush is good" "America is Number One" "Saddam is a donkey". This was truly the liberation of Iraq from its snake head. However, looting and riots occurred and the fundamentalist terrorist groups, their militias, and a strong Baathis based criminal insurgency began to fragment the country in small tribal groups that provide basic civil services to the people and therefore won their loyalties.

Furthermore, with the Sunni people the governing peoples out of work a huge resentment stirred into an all out insurgency lead underground by Saddam, his family, and his deck of 52.

Had we gone with the Powell Plan we might even have a Family Federation for World Peace and Unification Office in downtown Baghdad!!!

Sorry to be so long winded. This is my view of how we got to where we are - as the Bible says "Without Vision the people will perish" The Iraqi people have no vision and the Americans cannot provide it. Only True Parents can!!!

There are two big Shiite groups backed by Iran, A Baathist group backed by Syria, a huge Sunni splintering of groups who are all united in repelling America and other Coalition groups. In addition, the criminal element or mafia is horrible.

When I served in Iraq in 2004 90% of attacks against Coalition forces were done by radical Sunni groups organized by Al Zarquawi. Today 60% of attacks are Sunni vs. Shiite vs. Iraqi Security Forces and 40% by any number of groups against Coalition.

So what to do? I am a Marine I go where the President sends me. The people ideally chose the President and Congress and dictate what course of action its military must take. Recently there have been many changes to our government that hopefully will benefit the larger majority of Iraqi people.

I admire your letters to G. Bush it is what more people need to do; make their voices heard. Until there is a big change I serve to protect the Iraqi from himself and the Marine on my left and right all cantering on the Principle of True Love and attendance to True Parents in my limited capacity as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps!

Your prayers to help me in that effect will be greatly appreciated and I will send them right back to you in your endeavours as well. The true frontline and war on Terror is that line between our Mind and Body. Governments don't rule the cosmos anymore it is True Parents and Central Blessed Families like yours that govern the Cosmos with our prayers and actions.
