8th WFWP Confernce in North Korea
20 buses left the conference center in South Korea at 9a.m. on October 29 bound for Mr. Kum Gang in North Korea.
On the bus were 720 women from all religion, all ages, all walks of life, from 50 different nations and all members of WFWP.

Burma: Hundreds of monks flee Rangoon, arrive in Mon state
Authorities in Thanpyuzayart Township have been checking the movement of monks and have also banned the festival donation for monks.
Moreover, some monks from Moulmein were arrested in Thaton Township Mon state while returning home. However, Moulmein authorities (TPDC) also

A Global Peace Festival was held in Offenbach City Hall, near Frankfurt, Germany, on September 7.   Christian Peacemaker Corps
In response to the call for developing nonviolent alternatives to war, Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) was formed in 1986. As CPT began to send small teams of peacemakers into situations of violent conflict, the vision for a Corps of persons trained and ready to respond on a full-time basis emerged. By 1993 that vision became a reality with the formation of the Christian Peacemaker Corps.
